Travel During COVID-19

At Jamaica Volunteer Programs, guaranteeing the safety of travelers while they enjoy the meaningful travel experience they want will always be a top priority. Because of this, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and adapting our programs and protocols to best suit and protect our travelers. Jamaica has been vigilant in this fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the country’s health ministry has been hard at work to control the outbreak in the country

Our new protocols and guidelines are in line with the safety protocols from the World Travel & Tourism Council, the World Health Organisation (WHO), and our local government authorities and health providers who have so far been successful in containing COVID-19 in Jamaica, as praised by the WHO.

As we get ready to travel the world and volunteer/intern once more, it’s crucial that you know we value you and are committed to your safety. Learn more about JVP’s approach in the COVID-19 era, including our enhanced health protocols and risk-free booking policies below.

JVP has implemented the necessary measures to ensure your safety. But your protection extends beyond us. You must also play your part as well and adhere to the safety protocols of Jamaica to protect yourself and others from COVID. Here are a few things you can do to protect yourself

01.

Travel with your own reusable masks. Not only is it best to protect yourself during encounters with others, but some places may require that you wear them.

02.

Travel with your hand sanitizer. It’s always good to have your hand sanitizer in case you need to clean your hands before you can get to a washing station.

03.

Pay close attention to your health. It’s essential to monitor your body and how it feels so that if you feel ill, it can be addressed and dealt with immediately.

We’re here for you, every step of the way

With JVP, you will receive full support, both pre-departure and in-country.
